Plus, you'll also find amaranth gluten-free dishes, dairy-free waffles and pancakes, and Tibetan Coffee made with Kerry Gold butter and organic refined coconut oil whipped in. Plus, all batters and sauces are made fresh in-house, for the best freshness and flavor. Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1953 by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke, the first Original Pancake House location drew upon the founders' many years of experience in the culinary field. Armed with their extensive working knowledge of authentic national and ethnic pancake recipes, they were able to offer, without compromise, a unique and original menu which has gained national acclaim.
